Good Morning 6B! Welcome to your first computer class of the 2012-2013 school year!
In today's class we will go over classroom expectations and the acceptable use policy in detail. That will be followed touch typing practice and then word processing. We've got a busy 52 minutes in class, let's not waste a single moment!
Below is some information for you to read and review. Then we'll read the ENTIRE Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)! Happy Learning!
Class Content Objectives: Students will listen to class expectations
and the Acceptable Use Policy. Students
will demonstrate proficiency in the use of computers, peripherals, basic
troubleshooting, and applications.
Students will memorize the location of the keys on the keyboard. Students will demonstrate word processing
comprehension by reproducing word processing documents.
Class Language Objectives: Students will read and
understand the Acceptable Use Policy. Students
will follow directions and practice touch-typing. Students will create word
processing documents. Students will be able to define words in context.
Class Vocabulary: QWERTY
keyboard, caps lock, home-row, create, edit, print, formatting pallet, bold,
italic, center, tab, margins, formatting pallet, font, font size, print menu.
